All About Primers!

Hello my beautiful friends! How were you this fine Sunday? If you're a new reader from the #bbloggers chat, well hello there I am head2toevogue and this is my little blog in the blogosphere. Get comfortable, stay a while. Is it just me or do I seem to mention the blogger chat every post? (I swear I am not sponsored by them!) Anyway, who here as heard of a primer *most hands go up*. I am sure a lot of you know a lot about them but there may be the few who don't. So I am here today to teach you!

What are they?

 Primers are a product that goes over your moisturizer but under your makeup. They keep makeup on longer and even your skin texture. Some mattify your skin, some smooth pores, some correct redness, some are for photos and video and some are for illuminating. some don't even claim anything special beside long wearing and flawless face.

How to use them?

Avoid applying moisturizer before as it will cause peeling or splotchyness. Just go right in and apply primer and let that sink in for at least 5 min. Then go ahead and apply your makeup. 

Special Ingredients?

Most primers use silicone to smooth the skin. Some also don't have silicone which is not as pore clogging. Those that don't contain silicone are usually water based. Silicone fills in pores so they make you more prone to breaking out but they keep your makeup on and make your skin smooth. 

Final Verdict

No matter what your main skin issue is a primer is your best friend. Down below is a picture of some different primers.
